Ambassador Gary Locke (right) speaks before AmCham China members 

On October 10, more than 200 AmCham China members and guests attended an exclusive briefing with the US Ambassador to China Gary Locke. AmCham China Chairman Ted Dean, provided opening remarks and introduced the Ambassador. The briefing touched on a variety of important facets in the Sino-US relationship and some of the economic challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Ambassador Locke emphasized the importance of the Embassy’s relationship with AmCham China and the American business community as a whole, thanking them for their key role in solidifying US-China relations and encouraging their continued participation.
 
The Ambassador closed the briefing with questions from the audience. Following the Q&A session, participants were invited to attend a cocktail hour to further discuss issues raised throughout the evening and to network. AmCham China regularly hosts exclusive briefings with the Ambassador, giving members the chance to hear and speak with Ambassador on the issues affecting their businesses in China.
