Business Visa
AmCham-China Business Visa Program
This service, designed in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy, allows qualified member companies of AmCham-China to quickly and conveniently apply for U.S. visas for their Chinese staff and business associates.
AmCham-China Corporate Members, Corporate Associate and Affiliate Members can apply to enter the Business Visa Program.

AmCham-China membership does not guarantee your participation in this program, nor assure applicants from your company will be granted a visa, as the decision rests solely with U.S. Embassy officials. The Embassy reserves the right to call applicants in for personal interviews. Participation in the program does promise, however, to speed up the often tedious and time-consuming process of applying for a U.S. visa.
There are 2 levels of Membership in the AmCham-China Business Visa Program:
1. Business Visa Service -- new member companies must initially apply at this level. The Business Visa Service can be used by participating member companies' direct employees, their spouses and children (16 and under). Spouse or children (age 16 and under) must be accompanied by a direct employee of the AmCham-China member company.
2. Business Visa PLUS Service -- member companies who have been using the Business Visa Service for at least six months may apply for this level of service. On top of the level of service provided by the Business Visa Service, the Business Visa Plus Service allows AmCham-China to help you expeditiously process visa applications for company clients, customers and employees of joint venture partners whose travel is directly related to the AmCham-China member company's business. Please note that family members of clients, customers or joint venture partners are not eligible to use this service.
Once an AmCham-China Member's application has been approved by the U.S. Embassy and they have received the Official Permit Card, the member company can begin using the Business Visa Service.
Business Visa Service and Business PLUS Visa Service program members are expected to maintain careful records concerning visa applications submitted, and to report any irregularities to the U.S. Embassy Visa Unit and AmCham-China. Member Companies who are currently enrolled in the above-referenced two levels of Membership in the Business Visa Program may also apply for the supplementary services detailed below:
- Reciprocity Program
- Executive Referral Service - Only AmCham member companies in the Business Visa PLUS Service may apply
- Trusted Traveler – Trade Show Verification Program - Only available to member associations with buying delegations or exhibitors registering through aggregators
