The top four priorities, for the US business community in China, include open bidding on government-funded projects, increased market access, implementation of intellectual property rights, as well as climate change and sustainable energy.

In China Daily's November 14th-15th issue, AmCham-China's Chairman John D. Watkins Jr. gave in an exclusive interview before the much-anticipated visit to Beijing by US President Barack Obama. BTV 1 Evening News

On November 20, 2009, AmCham-China hosted its annual Appreciation Dinner at the China World Hotel. BTV 1 Evening News reported on the annual event and on the guest speaker, Ambassador Jon Huntsman, Jr. The Ambassador discussed the responsibilities of both governments, to speak to each other regularly, identify issues that are problematic and figure out resolutions as soon as possible in order for new opportunities to arise.
