In keeping with our goal to provide the greatest possible value to our members, The American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham-China) offers The AmCham-China Value Plan program. Through the AmCham-China Value Plan, both large and small member companies, as well as individual members, can participate in a health insurance plan suited for expatriates.

The AmCham-China Value Plan

An innovative worldwide major medical group plan has been developed to meet the needs of professionals who require quality health insurance with modest premiums. The AmCham-China Value Plan offers affordable out-patient and in-patient care around the world. The policy features enhanced benefits from local providers and offers insured benefits from any hospital or clinic of your choice. This plan offers the following benefits to AmCham-China member participants:

• Annual benefit maximum of RMB8,000,000
• Home country coverage up to RMB800,000
• Continuous treatment outside of Mainland China up to 2 months
• Doctor visits, prescribed medication and medical supplies
• Hospitalization, surgery, major illnesses, and organ transplant
• Diagnostic lab work and X-rays, MRI, and CT scans
• Maternity and newborn benefits
• Worldwide emergency medical and evacuation assistance
• Optional dental care with benefit maximum of RMB9,600

Program Administration

AmCham-China acts as a portal for the plan for AmCham-China Members.  As the authorized insurance broker, Shanghai Mercer Insurance Brokers Co. Ltd. (Mercer IB) is obligated to help members complete enrollments, explain the plan details, and administer the benefits.  MERCER provides secretarial and signatory services.
