Join AmCham-China’s Young Professionals and the SME Forum to hear Stephen Greer, founder and president of Hartwell Pacific, Ltd., share valuable insights on how he became a successful entrepreneur in Asia and built a global business from scratch.

Stephen Greer, currently a senior advisor to Oaktree Capital, the leading distressed debt and private equity firm, moved to Hong Kong at age 24 with no job or financing and founded Hartwell Pacific, a scrap metal recycling business. Fourteen years later, he had grown Hartwell Pacific into a $250-million enterprise and a player in the global scrap-metal recycling trade. 

Greer has authored a book, Starting from Scrap: An Entrepreneurial Success Story in Asia, and will be discussing his unique experiences with members of AmCham-China’s SME Forum and Young Professionals Committee.
