AmCham China's membership comprises more than 2,600 individuals from over 1,200 companies.

It has more than 40 industry- and issue-specific forums and committees, offers unique services such as the Business Visa Program, holds a wide range of networking and informational events, and meets with US and Chinese officials to discuss challenges and opportunities facing US firms doing business in China.

The Chamber's mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking and business support services.

Job Description
AmCham China is seeking government relations interns that are native Chinese speakers for the Summer of 2012 (May/June - August). Interns should be current college students, current graduate students or recent graduates.

Government relations interns will
* Track and update GR team on daily policy changes
* Support the GR and events team with annual events
* Support the GR team in government meetings and Forum & Committee meetings
* Research and provide up-to-date memo's on current US and China policy effecting business in China
*Attend events and write short reports to be published in weekly e-newsletter and monthly magazine

Please note that AmCham China requires interns with foreign passports to hold an F visa and can support procurement by way of an invitation but is unable to provide transportation or lodging.
