
Yali Liu, Executive Vice President of Chayora Holding
Strong technology leader in the global telecommunications & information technology industry. Worked in the US 15+ years and was Executive Director at Verizon responsible for global network planning, engineering, and network product development. Managed team in 30+ countries, built enterprise service network in 70+ markets, including partnership with Chinese operators and built US-China subsea cables. Currently Executive Vice President of Chayora responsible for Network and Strategy, supporting delivery of large scalable high performance data centre campuses in China. Successfully built the very first carrier neutral internet exchange in mainland China, and lead to MIIT supporting development additional internet exchange. Active in global industry association, currently vice chair of the advisory board of the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC). Member of Women Empowerment Council, driving Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI). Very active in the Peking University Alumni Association, organized numerous large-scale alumni activities.
Born in Tianjin and holds bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Peking University, MBA from University of Dallas, and M.S. in Computer Sciences from University of Texas in Dallas.
I would like to leverage my unique knowledge and experience on both international and domestic side, joining the efforts of supporting AmCham Tianjin development, and give back to the community.
