Event and Sponsorship Associate is a focal point that coordinates the execution of AmCham China’s events and sponsorships delivered through our signature programs, regular programs, media and publications and other key sponsorship-based partnerships. Specifically, these service results will be delivered through:

Signature Event and Sponsored Program Delivery
1.Executive and support the delivery of AmCham China’s annual signature programs
2.Support and execution of multi-location programs under AmCham China’s Corporate Partner Program (CPP)
3.Design and execute customized event services independently or in collaboration with the rest of the Member Operations team

Promotion, Sales and Relationship Management
1.Execute go-to-market promotional efforts of AmCham China’s various program and media sponsorship products and services;
2.Facilitate event sponsorship sales included but not limited to signature events;
3.Lead customized event service go-to market campaigns to create a sustainable pool of clientele;
4.Manage incoming sponsorship inquiries, and assisting preparation of quotations, calculations, and other foundation work that supports sales analysis and reporting;
5.Support Chapter staff in Tianjin, Central China (Wuhan) and Northeast (Dalian and Shenyang) to design and promote sponsorship products
6.Coordinate within the Member Operations team and collaborate with Marketing & Communications, Government Affairs and Membership teams to ensure the delivery, tracking and reporting of AmCham’s media and events sponsorship and various partnership programs;
7.Support and / or manage supplier and vendor relationships
8.Monitor market trends

Tracking, Reporting and Process Management
1.Managing AmCham China’s Prepaid Event Access program (PEA);
2.Maintaining sponsorship database
3.Conducting and supporting adequate sponsorship service reporting with measurable KPIs leveraging organizational and infrastructure support across AmCham China.
4.Demonstrating a strong sense of team culture and being able to leverage support from different teams and functions at AmCham China to reach common goals of the organization.


The basic skills and characters expected for each member of the Member Operations team include:
1.Detail oriented, initiative, able to work independently;
2.Capable of communicating (written and verbal) effectively in both English and Chinese, and excellent in management reporting tools;
3.Ability to show the right judgement on problems, demonstrate superb ability of prioritization while multitasking;
4.Strong sense of community and be able to demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support others;
5.Do the right thing, possess good judgement, and demonstrate growth potential.On top of those, the Event and Sponsorship Associate is expected to demonstrate the following professional, entrepreneurial and managerial qualifications:
1.Minimum one to two years of experience of event management, inhouse or agency-side marketing, public relations, communications, and business development in related field;
2.Strong entrepreneurial spirit and creativity is highly desirable in developing programs, and commercial products and partnerships while being able to deliver concrete results;
3.Strong sense of organizational behavior and processes, excellent team and people skills to be able to manage KPI delivery through working with multiple internal and external stakeholders;
4.Plan time and work according to annual priorities and budget, be able to execute, lead and create projects that deliver expected organizational outcomes;
5.Understand the membership corresponding to the designated programs and services, and be able to master the membership and program database using our various IT and organizational infrastructures;
Maintain consistent processes, productive engagement and result-focused relationship with the related membership segments, their key member companies and individual members through our routine communications, programs and services
