The AmCham China Policy Team has opened the annual Business Climate Survey (BCS), marking the 19th year of the survey. Last year over 496 businesses participated in the survey, which will again be conducted in partnership with Bain & Company.

The first lucky draw winner of the Business Climate Survey has been announced and the winner is Cathy Tai, VP of Corporate Affairs at PepsiCo Greater China. The winner receives a free individual ticket to our Annual Appreciation Dinner. This year AmCham China is honored to have Ambassador Max Baucus returning as one of the high-profile speakers at the dinner.

There is still time to complete the survey and be entered to win the next prize – two winners will be awarded a ticket to the Nov. 16 Annual General Meeting. Respondents that completed the survey by Nov. 9 will be automatically entered into this contest.

Additionally, all respondents to complete the survey by the final deadline on Nov. 16 will be entered into a drawing for one of three possible prizes:

  • A one night stay at the Beijing JW Marriot (complimentary one night stay in a deluxe room with two buffet breakfasts).
  • A one night stay for two in the chairman’s suite at The Schoolhouse by the Mutianyu Great Wall, including 2 - 60 minute Chinese massages, sparkling wine on arrival, and breakfast to order served in the suite.
  • One Mini Personal Clean Air Zone Air Purifier from Blueair

The link for the 2017 survey has been emailed to representatives from each company. The impact and value of this survey is entirely dependent on member participation. Please help us and your fellow members by completing the survey promptly. If you believe you should have received a link and did not, or have any other questions about the survey, please email Katie Beck at: cbeck@amchamchina.org.

The BCS is an important and annual study that is widely referenced by both Chinese and American policy-makers, AmCham China member companies, and international and Chinese media to understand the current business climate in China. It allows AmCham to be a more effective policy advocate on behalf of our members, while also sharing useful data and trends back to our members.

The survey data analysis and key findings from the 2016 survey are available online for free on the AmCham China website. In addition, this will be the fourth year that AmCham China releases the bilingual Business Climate Survey Industry-Specific Reports, available for free to members.
