Gary Dvorchak, The Blueshirt Group
Campaign Statement
As a small-business owner advising both innovative SMEs and leading multinationals in China, I bring a dual perspective that reflects the full breadth of AmCham China’s membership. I understand the pressures smaller firms face — navigating regulation, capital, and market access — while also working closely with global corporations managing the complex U.S.-China situation. That balance enables me to represent and connect both worlds.
I also bring something distinctive to AmCham’s engagement with China’s leadership: a long-standing family friendship with President Xi Jinping that has fostered personal trust and mutual respect. While AmCham’s relationship with the Chinese government is necessarily official and institutional, I can complement that structure by adding a more personal dimension, helping to soften the tone of dialogue, build genuine rapport, and make interactions warmer and more human. In an era when cross-cultural understanding is as important as policy alignment, those bridges can make a difference.
If elected to the Board of Governors, I will focus on:
- Strengthening communication between AmCham and Chinese counterparts, promoting trust and understanding.
- Elevating the voice of small and mid-sized enterprises within AmCham’s policy advocacy.
- Encouraging practical collaboration that delivers results for members across all sectors.
I believe the Chamber’s greatest strength lies in its ability to unite diverse American business interests under a shared goal: constructive, forward-looking engagement with China. With deep local relationships, broad commercial experience, and a commitment to bridge-building, I hope to contribute to a more connected and confident AmCham China. I would be honored to earn your trust and your vote.
