From March 25 to 27, the AmCham China Healthcare Industry Group organized a senior-level corporate delegation to Jiangsu province for exchange activities. The delegation held discussions with relevant Jiangsu government departments and participated in a healthcare industry promotion event in Wuxi. More than 40 foreign-invested healthcare companies took part in this activity.

Jiangsu
On March 26, a government-enterprise roundtable for the healthcare sector was held in Nanjing. Claire Ma, Vice President of AmCham China, attended and delivered remarks. She noted that Jiangsu has strong advantages in industrial foundations, healthcare resources, and life sciences, making it highly attractive to member companies. She added that the Chamber looks forward to deepening practical exchanges with Jiangsu authorities on key healthcare topics and will continue to serve as a platform and bridge to promote high-quality cooperation between Jiangsu and foreign-invested healthcare companies in China.
On the morning of March 27, the “Connecting Globally, Linking the Future — Wuxi–US Biopharmaceutical Industry Matchmaking Conference” was held in Wuxi. In her remarks, Vice President Ma stated that the Chamber will continue to maintain close and pragmatic cooperation with Wuxi, supporting member companies through policy communication, industry resource matching, and the implementation of innovation projects. She also expressed hope that member companies will further deepen innovative collaboration in Wuxi and contribute to the development of the local biopharmaceutical industry.

Prior to the event, Ma had discussions with Sun Wei, Vice Mayor of Wuxi, exchanging views on the development of member companies in Wuxi and related needs.

On the afternoon of March 27, the AmCham China delegation visited the Wuxi National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Wuxi International Life Science Innovation Park for site visits. They engaged face-to-face with leading local and innovative companies. During the visits, the delegation gained insights into the industrial ecosystem and innovation platforms in Wuxi. Multiple foreign-invested companies exchanged views with park-based enterprises on areas including R&D, manufacturing, and market expansion, laying the groundwork for future project cooperation.

Hubei

On March 31, the AmCham China Healthcare Industry Group, together with a corporate delegation, supported the 2026 “Cherry Blossom Spring Gathering” Economic and Trade Promotion Event hosted by the Hubei provincial government.

On the afternoon of March 31, with support from the Hubei Department of Commerce and the Wuhan Investment Promotion Bureau, the AmCham China Healthcare Industry Group hosted the “US Pharmaceutical Companies Policy and Industry Matchmaking Session.” During the policy Q&A session, representatives from foreign-invested companies engaged in discussions with the Hubei Healthcare Security Administration, Hubei Health Commission, Wuhan Healthcare Security Administration, and Wuhan Health Commission on topics including medical insurance access, drug supply, and project approval guidelines.

During the industry matchmaking session, representatives from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, Qiaokou district, and Jiangxia district outlined their strategies and advantages in the biopharmaceutical sector, followed by discussions on potential cooperation with AmCham China member companies and local stakeholders.
