On June 17, AmCham China Chairman James Zimmerman and President Michael Hart led a delegation of member company representatives to deliver the 2026 American Business in China White Paper (White Paper) and meet with senior Chinese government officials. The meetings provided an opportunity to share the Chamber’s latest policy recommendations and discuss the operating environment for foreign-invested enterprises in China, as well as broader developments in US-China economic and commercial relations.

The delegation met with Cai Wei, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on US-China relations, the recently released 2026 White Paper, and the opportunities and challenges facing foreign enterprises operating in China.
