From March 3-4, 2025, the AmCham China Healthcare Industry Group, led by AmCham China President Michael Hart, organized a delegation of multinational healthcare enterprises in China to visit Anhui Province for a series of exchanges.
During the visit, President Michael Hart met with Anhui Vice Governor Li Zhong. Li highlighted Anhui’s geographical advantages and its active development in biopharmaceuticals. He expressed hope that AmCham China would continue to serve as a bridge between the government and the business community, as well as support more multinational enterprises in establishing a presence in Anhui. Hart noted that Anhui is a key investment destination for AmCham China member companies and that the Chamber has already established a strong foundation for dialogue with the provincial government. He expressed his wish for enhanced collaboration between the two sides to jointly optimize the business environment for multinational enterprises.

The delegation also engaged in discussions about the healthcare industry with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Anhui Council (CCPIT Anhui), the Provincial Health Commission, the Provincial Healthcare Security Administration, and local enterprises. The discussions focused on key operational problems and policy-related issues affecting multinational healthcare enterprises in China.
The delegation wrapped up the trip with a visit to the city of Bengbu, where they received a warm reception from Vice Mayor Wulan Qiqige. They visited leading local healthcare enterprises, including Huanqiu Pharmaceutical, Aofo Medical Equipment, and BBCA Tushan Pharmaceutical, and explored opportunities for international cooperation.
