Malone Ma, MetLife
Campaign Statement
I have been associated with MetLife for over 30 years. As a member of AmCham China for the past 26 years, I have had the honor of serving on the Board of Governors for ten years across three separate periods.
We are currently operating in a highly complex and unstable political and economic environment, encompassing issues such as tariffs, non-tariff barriers, export controls, and supply chain disruptions. We, as the US business representatives here in China, are inevitably involved in these multiple dimensions and the unpredictable world today. We especially need support from, and to be involved with, all types of organizations, particularly our own associations. Over the years, AmCham China has been playing an important role in representing U.S. business community and promoting U.S.-China economic and social cooperation. AmCham China has consistently served as a leading voice for its members and member companies in both Beijing and Washington. I hope you agree that its role has become even more critical today. I am confident that AmCham China will continue to support its members in achieving success, even amid the complex political, economic, and regulatory challenges we face. I also look forward to the opportunity to contribute my time and experience in promoting a stable and mutually beneficial business environment.
Please let me know, if I am elected, how the Board could better listen to your issues and concerns, and better serve our members in general.
Let’s all join forces to tackle the challenges we’re facing and build a stronger, better AmCham China together.
