As Senior Director, Policy & Business Affairs, Matt Roberts leads engagement for Dolby Laboratories with government officials and policy-makers in the Asia-Pacific region. He works on programs and policies that drive innovation in immersive entertainment and communications technologies.

Prior to joining Dolby, Matt led government affairs in East Asia and Southeast Asia for Oracle, with a focus on cloud computing and data applications in education, healthcare, smart infrastructure, and e-government. Prior to that, Matt served as managing director of the U.S. Information Technology Office (USITO), an independent, non-profit, membership-based trade association representing leading U.S. information and communications companies in China.

Before his policy roles, Matt held business leadership roles in the digital media sector. He was general manager of the launch team for the About.com China business from 2007 to 2010. Before that, he served as an investment consultant for multinational and Chinese online media companies. He led business development and operations for Dow Jones in China from 2000 to 2005.

Matt is a native of Pennsylvania, USA, and holds a BA degree in Asian Studies from Dartmouth College.
