Wei Wang, Bank of America
Campaign Statement
Dear AmCham Members,
For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my career to the banking industry, including the last 23 years at Bank of America. I currently serve as China Country Executive and Head of Greater China Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) Sales. In this role, I lead our strategic direction in China and oversee FICC product sales across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. I also serve on the Asia Pacific Executive Committee and am the Executive Sponsor of our Asia Pacific LEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy, and Development) for Women employee network.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working at the intersection of China’s evolving financial landscape and global capital markets. From a local bank to a global institution, from secondary markets to primary markets, and from onshore to offshore, my journey has given me a unique perspective on navigating the complexities of East-West business dynamics and fostering mutual understanding—an experience I believe is more valuable than ever in today’s environment.
AmCham China plays a vital role in helping U.S. companies build and grow meaningful relationships in China. It has consistently demonstrated leadership in connecting the U.S. and China, serving the needs of its members, and promoting a business-friendly environment. I strongly believe in AmCham’s mission and core values.
At Bank of America, we are guided by the principle of Responsible Growth—supporting the success of our clients, the wellbeing of our teammates, the strength of our communities, and delivering strong returns to our shareholders. We ask everyone we serve, “What would you like the power to do?” By listening to the answer, we learn what matters most and strive to help them achieve it. These values resonate deeply with me and align closely with AmCham’s dedication to helping American companies succeed in China.
During my tenure at Bank of America, I have championed the transformative impact of philanthropy, arts conservation, and sports — sharing success with our communities is a critical part of how we drive Responsible Growth.
If elected, I will bring a strategic, long-term perspective to the Board, grounded in decades of experience and a deep commitment to strengthening U.S.-China business relations. I am eager to contribute my voice, insights, and energy to help AmCham continue to thrive and support its members.
