Fellow AmCham China Members,
I humbly request your support and your vote for the 2022-2023 Board of Governors.
These past two years serving our community on the Board of Governors have been rewarding, including this current year as Vice Chair. In this short time, I have worked to help elevate and accelerate several topics near and dear to my heart, and our membership’s. For example:
- Deepen ties between our members and the Board/Staff by being accessible, listening to your priorities, and making sure AmCham takes a holistic view of all members.
- Keep our focus on high impact, high priority items like advocating resolution to the Covid-19 PU letter for dependents complexities.
- Improve our Board functions by instituting a new meeting structure in which we ‘deep dive’ on a critical topic, as a Board and Staff, with enough time to debate and resolve thorny issues most relevant to our operations and our members.
Start a new ‘mentorship’ program matching up-and-coming Staff with Board members to improve our team building and nurturing for the future.
My family and I have lived in China for almost a decade and enjoy helping bridge the important US-China cultures and dynamics. These are two very similar and yet different contexts – arguably the most important bilateral relationship in the world. I am deeply involved in the US business community here – spending considerable time with the US Embassy, partner companies, on the Board of Montage Technology (a Shanghai STAR market listed company), mentoring and investing in Chinese startups, and investing time mentoring and coaching Chinese citizens on growth paths within their industries in both China or the US.
With your endorsement and your vote, I look forward to continuing to help you and your company grow in China through strong, clear, and impactful advocacy by AmCham on your behalf.
If you would like to talk, I am always available at email@example.com or my personal cell 186-1083-2786. Please let me know if there are any questions you may have, or any topics you would like raised on your behalf.
Thank you for your vote and your support, they are very much appreciated,
