Guests of the celebration, American and Chinese alike, spent a pleasurable evening in a festival atmosphere. Hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, BBQ, free-flow beer, and many other delicious food and drinks were ready to serve. Interesting games were specially designed for kids and families.

Young attendees enjoy games in preperation for food and the much anticapated raffle.

There were also many traditional July 4th activities, such as a watermelon eating contest, quizzes on American history and culture for both children and adults with awesome prizes, a cake-cutting ceremony, and an exciting raffle. The amazing prizes included a round-trip airplane ticket from Shanghai to the US with United Airlines, a one-night stay in the Presidential Suite at Hilton Wuhan Riverside, three buffet coupons at the Italian restaurant of New World Wuhan Hotel, and many more.

The first raffle prize winner steps up to claim their winnings.

This year’s event was a huge success and was made possible by the generous support of the event’s sponsors.
