On April 23rd, AmCham China launched the Social Impact Initiative (SII), focusing on two main issues that are critical to China in the aftermath of COVID-19: Public Health, and China’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) ecosystem.

The Social Impact Initiative has gained significant momentum in the last week alone, receiving support from the Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Council.

Just last week, the State Council DRC confirmed their willingness to collaborate through partnership on both the Public Health and SME Tracks. We have also received similar endorsements from experts at the World Bank, IMF, and other key stakeholders, and will continue to grow this already impressive ecosystem as the initiative moves forward.

AmCham China would like to express deep gratitude to the leading tech, manufacturing, healthcare, financial, and agricultural member companies – all members of the Fortune 500 – that have already joined the Social Impact Initiative.

AmCham China is still recruiting members to join the Social Impact Initiative and there are still a few spots left. The deadline to join is June 15.
