On March 18, the AmCham China HR Committee hosted an event at the Chamber’s Beijing offices, focusing on “When Mental Health Becomes a Workplace Issue” The gathering brought together HR professionals from a wide variety of member companies and industries.
During the first session, Siyi Wang from United Family Hospital Beijing led a professional workshop titled “Grounding in Uncertainty: Recognizing, Preventing, and Managing Workplace Stress.” She shared the relationship between mental health and work efficiency, workplace stress and burnout and presented real-life cases of staff facing mental health challenges and encouraged participants to engage in interactive activities to share opinions and insights.
Next, Yatong Wu from LABOURS shed light on the unique challenges associated with employees experiencing mental health issues, employing practical case analyses that sparked attendees’ attention and resonance regarding related labor relation cases. The event concluded with a Q&A session.
