The 2025 BCS report, which is based on responses from 368 AmCham China member companies across 20+ industries, offers valuable insights into financial performance, business environment, and views on US-China relations. This year’s survey was conducted between October 21 and November 15, 2024, covering a pivotal period both before and after the US Presidential Election.
The event began with opening remarks from AmCham China Chair and President of Boeing China, Alvin Liu, who highlighted the importance of the BCS report in shaping discussions on US-China trade and investment.
Following the introduction, Chamber President Michael Hart presented a summary of key findings from the 2025 report emphasizing the resilience of US businesses in China despite ongoing geopolitical tensions and regulatory challenges. The report reflects the sentiment of American companies as they navigate uncertainties in the business environment, shifting policies, and potential impacts from the new US administration.
After the presentation, both Hart and Liu were joined by AmCham China Board Member and Senior Director of Policy & Business Affairs at Dolby Laboratories, Matt Roberts, and Managing Director of KKR, Jerry Guo, to provide further perspectives on the survey’s findings. The discussion offered insights into how companies are responding to the evolving business climate and the key factors influencing investment and operational decisions in China.
