Working at the heart of the most significant technology strategy planning and development in CTO Office, we are recruiting people with passion about technologies and thrive at the environment where curiosity and learnings are basic requirements. Working with other researchers and engineers across almost all major technologies, these teams provide the bridge between strategies and technology, advising and delivering technology strategies to the leadership team across all major R&D teams.
As a key member of the technology Strategy team, this role focuses on strategic framing and internal alignment, supporting decision-making across Lenovo’s CTO Organization. Positioned closer to core leadership and lab teams, this person will help shape Lenovo’s long-term research focus.
- High-Impact Deliverables & Executive Communication
- Develop clear, forward-looking strategy outputs—including Tech and market trend briefs, technology outlook, and executive presentations.
- Ensure materials are insight-driven, decision-ready, and reinforce CTO organization priorities across the company.
- Technology Foresight & Long-Term Planning
- Shape 2–5 year research focus areas (e.g., Smart devices, AI model/agents, cloud computing, Enterprise software, Hybrid AI Infrastructure, Agent Frameworks) through external trend analysis and internal capability mapping.
- Translate diverse inputs into prioritized, time-bound recommendations to inform roadmap setting, investment direction, and BG alignment.
- Cross-Team Alignment & Governance Support
- Drive coordination across key R&D teams to align strategy themes, technical requirements, and execution rhythms.
- Support the preparation and follow-through of key forums (e.g., annual planning, tech brainstorming, tech committee), ensuring clarity on decisions, owners, and next steps.
- Execution Monitoring & Portfolio Visibility
- Track progress, blockers, and dependencies for flagship AI initiatives (e.g. next-gen AI models/agents); proactively escalate issues and enable resolution.
- Maintain OKR-linked milestone and dependency tracking to support leadership visibility and timely intervention.
Ideal candidates would have
- Consulting experiences or Corp Strategy roles and holds a degree in a relevant field. English native-speaker preferred.
- A background working with Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, big data experiences or system architecture components, such as networking and software, is needed.
- Candidates require a combination of management, consultancy, project delivery and technical skills. You will be expected to demonstrate that you have experience of working with a wide spectrum of technologies and able to quickly learn new topics and develop strategic thoughts around them.
- In addition to strong technical skills, you will also need strong soft skills. Excellent collaborative skills will allow you to work with personnel across disciplines.
- Strong analytical reasoning is needed to effectively look at the strengths and weaknesses of projects.
