Summary:
Responsible to but not limited, to provide scientific technical knowledge of the manufacturing processes of thermal products. Provides engineering efforts towards continuously, improving safety, quality and delivery performance of manufacturing process area provides technical assistance to internal customers and troubleshoots in process problems as they arise and makes necessary adjustment to produce quality products in a timely manner.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Analyse and improve all existing and new equipment and processes as needed.
2. Troubleshoot in-process problems and make recommendations to increase productivity. Resolve ongoing process and tooling related problems proactively.
3. Create documentation to support existing processes and equipment in accordance with Quality Systems.
4. Solve manufacturing problems related to equipment, processes.
5. Review production processes and recommends changes for improvement; goals should include current technologies which lead to: creating a safer workplace, producing products with higher quality, quicker delivery of products and producing products at a lower
6. Assist maintenance in troubleshooting and repair of equipment
7. Assist Design Engineering with design and prototyping of new or modified products.
8. Provide technical expertise in the area of process engineering.
9. Develop processes, equipment, and fixtures to aid in the manufacture of products.
10. Develop, revise, and upgrade routers, standard operating procedures (SOP), and bill of materials.
11. Train and instruct associates in performance of their assigned duties using operations work instructions.
12. Develop and implement process capability plans.
13. Work with production managers to prepare plant layouts for maximum utilization of floor space and resources.
Requirements:
1. Personal computer skills such as MICROSOFT OFFICE and relational database.
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Ability to work well in a Team environment
4. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
5. Works with management to establish project Milestones, and executes project plan with little supervision.
6. Ability to work toward defined objectives with little direct supervision
7. Demonstrated understanding of new product development processes and work flow
8. Detailed knowledge of at least one Thermal product line (Thermal Pad, Paste, PCB, Insulator, etc.) with general knowledge of related or other product lines.
9. Works well in a Team environment and guides the team as the “expert” in a particular field.
10. Demonstrated experience in participating on multi-disciplinary product development teams
11. Good knowledge of a particular technical area within the job responsibility.
Education / Experience :
Master degree in Materials Science, Inorganic Materials Science or chemical background is preferred
