The American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization representing nearly 1,000 U.S. companies operating across China, including most of the Fortune 500. The Chamber’s nationwide mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, insights, relationships, and business support services. With offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang, and Wuhan. AmCham China has 25 Working Groups and holds more than 300 events per year.
Required Work Period:
- Duration: Minimum 3 consecutive months, at least 3 full days per week.
- Working Hours: 9:00–17:30
- The position does not accept online internships.
Job Description:
- Provide administrative and operational support to ACP team members;
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of meetings and conferences;
- Support preparation of briefing materials, talking points, presentations, and meeting notes;
- Conduct research on aviation industry trends and policy developments;
- Assist with stakeholder communication and coordination;
- Provide on-site support during events, including potential short-term business travel.
Required Skills:
- Strong command of English (written and spoken), able to work in an English-speaking environment;
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently;
- Fast learner with a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative;
- Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Interest in event planning and execution;
- Availability to travel for short-term business trips, if required.
Internship Eligibility:
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program
- The position is open to Chinese nationals.
- Expat candidates must hold an X1/X2 visa.
