Enhancing AmCham China’s voice on behalf of its members with respect to the governments of China and the U.S. and international organizations continues to be a high priority for the Board of Governors.
Having served for a number of years in various capacities, including Vice Chair of the Board, General Counsel, Chair of the Policy Committee and Chair of the Insurance Forum, I will work to strengthen AmCham China’s advocacy for its members if elected once again to the Board of Governors.

Biography
Lester Ross concentrates his practice on transactional and regulatory matters in China for Chinese and international clients in a broad range of industries.
Professional Activities
Mr. Ross is a former Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors and former General Counsel of AmCham China, and a former chair of the Board of Advisors of the International Montessori School of Beijing.
Fluent in Mandarin, Mr. Ross has been a visiting scholar at the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences in Beijing and studied Chinese at the National Taiwan University. He has conducted field work in China under the sponsorship of the Committee on Scholarly Communication with China of the National Academy of Sciences, and is widely published.
