AmCham China President Michael Hart (pictured above) opened the event, emphasizing the importance of the election in shaping the Chamber’s strategic direction for the year ahead and encouraging members to engage actively with the candidates. He also reminded attendees to complete the Business Climate Survey and participate in upcoming holiday events across the Chamber’s chapters.
Ten candidates addressed the audience in person, speaking in randomized order, with remarks highlighting experience, leadership, and a shared commitment to advocacy, community, and constructive US-China engagement.

Min Qin (pictured above) from Mars, an incumbent Board member and current Vice Chair, spoke about the importance of trust, unity, and practicality in advancing the Chamber’s mission, noting that “trust sets us on the journey to finding solutions.”

Roberta Lipson (pictured above), Founder of United Family Healthcare and Vice Chair of New Frontier Health, reflected on her four decades in China and her long record of service on AmCham China’s Board. AmCham China Senior Director Mark Dreyer (pictured above), who hosted the evening’s events, recognized the Election Committee members for ensuring a fair and transparent process, and reminded members to cast their votes via the SurveyMonkey ballot emailed to each corporate and individual voting representative. Voting closes on November 28, with results to be announced at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 4.
