On May 27, the AmCham China Southwest Chapter hosted an exclusive Executive Breakfast Briefing at the Fairmont Chengdu, convening business leaders and representatives from multinational corporations. The focus of the event was a debrief of the 2025 AmCham China DC Doorknock—an annual advocacy initiative in which Chamber delegates travel to Washington, DC to engage with US policymakers on the evolving landscape for American business in China. Attendees received firsthand insights into current policy developments, bilateral trade dynamics, and key takeaways from the Chamber’s high-level meetings.

Southwest Chapter Chair Jeffrey Bernstein opened the event by welcoming participants and highlighting the importance of constructive US-China dialogue in fostering economic stability. He underscored the historical value of the DC Doorknock as a cornerstone of AmCham China’s advocacy efforts, emphasizing its alignment with the Chamber’s mission to close policy gaps and champion member interests.

Mark Dreyer, AmCham China Senior Director and a delegate on the 2025 DC Doorknock, delivered a briefing on the delegation’s engagements. He summarized highlights from a week of meetings in Washington and key themes discussed during the 15th Annual China Business Conference. His remarks touched on issues ranging from trade policy and national security to supply chain resilience and regulatory transparency.
