On March 25, AmCham China hosted a closed-door briefing at Kerry Hotel Beijing with Ambassador Dan Kritenbrink, Partner at The Asia Group. The session, attended by AmCham China members, focused on President Trump’s upcoming visit to China, the current state of US-China relations, China’s growing confidence on the global stage, and the implications of developments in Iran.

Drawing on decades of experience in the US Foreign Service, Ambassador Kritenbrink – who previously served as Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, US Ambassador to Vietnam, and Deputy Chief of Mission in Beijing – offered unique insights into the shifting dynamics of the global supply chain, strategic competition, and the broader socioeconomic factors shaping international trade and diplomacy.

The briefing was hosted by AmCham China’s leadership, with Chairman James Zimmerman and President Michael Hart welcoming members and facilitating discussion.
