Campaign Statement

As the environment gets even more challenging, American companies in China need a stronger community empowered by deep local knowledge and cross-cultural effectiveness.

In the past two years, I had the privilege to serve on the AmCham China Board and work with an outstanding team of savvy business and policy experts to support member companies navigate the stormy days for success. I believe in passion, sincerity and better ways to work toward results. Appreciate your votes to allow me to serve you.


Biography

Gloria Xu is Public and Government Affairs General Manager, Greater China, the Dow Chemical Company, responsible for the company’s policy advocacy, government engagement, and strategic communications in the Greater China region. Prior to joining Dow, she led the China government affairs functions of DuPont and Standard Chartered Bank respectively for over 10 years with rich experiences in policy development and regulatory issues.

Gloria was China Public Relations Manager of Alibaba.com Group and helped build up brand awareness of the company at its start-up stage at the beginning of this century.

From 1993 to 2000, Gloria was a political correspondent with China Daily, covering legislative and foreign affairs, military, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan news.

She is a board member of China American Chamber of Commerce and Deputy Secretary General of Multinational Companies Committee, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.

Gloria graduated from Nanjing University with a BA in English Language and Literature.

徐旸女士是陶氏化学大中华区公共和政府事务总经理,负责陶氏在大中华地区的政策事务、政府关系和对外战略沟通。 2014年加入陶氏之前,徐女士曾在杜邦公司及渣打银行任政府事务部负责人超过10年。

徐女士还曾担任过阿里巴巴集团有限公司中国区公关部经理,规划参与了该企业早期的品牌建设。

1993-2000年,徐旸女士任职于《中国日报》社,负责外交、立法、中国人民解放军和港澳台新闻的采访工作,后任报社“中央组”协调人。

徐旸女士现为中国美国商会董事、中国石油和化工联合会外企委员会副秘书长。

她毕业于南京大学,获英语语言文学学士学位。
