Alfred Schipke, Senior Resident Representative for China at the International Monetary Fund, briefed AmCham China members on the IMF's latest views on China’s economy. He focused on recent developments, the economic outlook, and key reform areas. He also touched on the financial sector, labor market, local and central government debt, and real estate sector, as well as the internationalization of the renminbi and the IMF's review of Special Drawing Rights.
