Last week, AmCham China – Tianjin, in partnership with Air Canada, invited its members to the Hyatt Regency Tianjin East for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Appreciation Reception. The AGM is a members-only event that allows the Tianjin Chapter to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and recognize outstanding members.

This year’s party was no different. Martin Winchell, Chairman of AmCham China – Tianjin began the evening by recalling a year of successful events, such as the Independence Day Celebration, Charity Golf tournament, and the Executive Breakfast Series. Winchell also took the time to remind members that AmCham China – Tianjin would continue to be a key advocate for their businesses to both the United States and Chinese governments. Alan Beebe, President of AmCham China, was also present at the event and presented a number of awards to members in recognition of contributions and accomplishments during the past year.

Following the meeting, approximately 280 members of AmCham China – Tianjin’s business community attended the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in the lobby of the Hyatt hotel. The ceremony included traditional Christmas carols performed by the Wellington International School Choir and an exciting Lucky Draw, with prizes ranging from a Blueair Purifier to free nights at luxury hotels. Attendees also enjoyed the food and beverages prepared by the Hyatt staff, as well as two complimentary craft beers from WE brewery and a gift bag from Air Canada.

This event would not have been possible without sponsors, and AmCham China – Tianjin thanks Air Canada for being this event’s Exclusive Platinum Sponsor. Special thanks also to the Hyatt Regency Tianjin East for providing the venue in addition to being a Silver sponsor. Finally, AmCham China – Tianjin would also like to thank all of the Silver and Associate Sponsors for their participation:

  • Jones Lang La Salle (JLL) Tianjin
  • WE Brewery
  • United Family Healthcare
