Tianjin Pilot Free-Trade Zone Seminar

On June 30, AmCham China organized a Tianjin Pilot Free-Trade Zone seminar with Tianjin Binhai and Airport Economic Area (TAEA) of the Tianjin Pilot Free-Trade Zone. The Tianjin Pilot Free-Trade Zone launched on April 21 this year and focuses on developing industries such as aviation, high-end equipment manufacturing, biological pharmaceuticals, new generation information technology and modern service industries.

TAEA Economic Development Bureau Director Yu Mei, TAEA Trading Development Co. General Manager Gao Yehui and TAEA Finance Bureau Deputy Director Liu Guanhong gave members a detailed introduction of the Tianjin Free-Trade Zone in terms of policies and regulation, particularly as they relate to trade facilitation and financial opening. Topics discussed included the negative list, support measures from administration, and exclusive financial policies in the Tianjin Free-Trade Zone.

Around 30 members from agriculture, manufacturing, ICT, financial services and consulting industries attended the seminar.
