About This Committee
The Healthcare Committee includes members from four major industry subsegments: 1) Pharmaceuticals, 2) Medical Devices, Equipment, and Diagnostics, 3) Hospitals, Clinics, and Healthcare Services, and 4) Digital Health.
Mission
To strengthen the long-term, constructive cooperation in the healthcare field between the US and China, to support capacity and capability building in the healthcare system in China, and to promote a healthy environment for the growth of the healthcare industry in China while helping American companies thrive in China.
Main Activities
Committee members contribute to the Healthcare Chapter in the annual American Business in China White Paper (White Paper). Production of the annual AmCham China Healthcare Industry White Paper.
Research Program with academic and healthcare-related stakeholders: School of Public Health, Capital Medical University, and Chinese Hospital Association.
High-level roundtable meetings with policymakers: NHSA (National Healthcare Security Administration), NHC (National Health Commission), NMPA (National Medical Products Administration), etc.
Call-for-Comments on specific policies, help members deliver their messages, suggestions, and feedback to the related government departments.
Regular Workshops & Healthcare Forums focusing on trending topics.
Regular networking events (mixers, breakfast meetings, etc.)
Delegation Visits (Jiangsu, Hubei, Zhejiang, Tianjin, Guizhou, Shanxi, Henan, Sichuan, etc.)
