About This Committee
The Food and Beverage committee consists of member companies across the food and beverage industry, including snack foods, beverages, dining, and fast food. It is closely interconnected with the Agriculture Committee, together forming a comprehensive supply chain group.
Mission
- The Food & Beverage Committee’s mission is to connect multi-level stakeholders across the agricultural and food supply chains in the United States and China. Its goal is to advance mutual agri-food trade, food security, food safety, nutrition, and sustainability.
- It also aims to promote cooperative activities and the exchange of best practices between the US and China, improve the policy environment, and facilitate discussions on cross-sector business and policy issues to strengthen communication and exchange.
Main Activities
Food & Beverage Chapter (drafted by Committee members) in the annual American Business in China White Paper (White Paper).
Closed-door briefings, information sharing sessions, and quarterly meetings
