ABOUT THIS COMMITTEE

The Chinese Government Affairs Committee (CGAC) is one of the most active committees in AmCham China with over 300 active members subscribed to the mailing list. Most of the subscribers are professionals in GA function. This committee supports and facilitates members to exchange their understanding and analysis of policies and organize events and meetings between member companies and Chinses Government at all levels.

Mission

Through the sharing of members’ knowledge and experience and their analysis of policies, the Chinese Government Affairs Committee (CGAC) strives to communicate with both Chinese central and local governments, serving and advocating on behalf of our members. The CGAC also provides information and policy advice to AmCham China’s leadership and Board of Governors, including through the Executive Policy Committee.

Main Activities

To organize meetings and events with Chinese Government to create opportunities for member companies to communicate directly with relevant stakeholders and better understand local investment policies and business environment developments.

To Support regulatory submissions, helping members deliver their messages, suggestions, and feedback to the central government, helping to shape new policies and regulations.

To implement briefings on hot topics and current bilateral relations.

To design and carry out events and discussions for GA professionals to enhance their professional skills.
