About This Committee
The Education Committee includes members from three major industry sub-segments: 1) Higher Education 2) K12 Education, and 3) Education Institutions.
Mission
The mission of the Education Committee is to foster dialogue between China and the US on education-related topics and to inform AmCham China members about cutting-edge developments in the field. The Education Committee hosts large panel events as well as smaller round-table discussions to bring together universities, K-12 international schools, placement agencies, educators, current students, alumni, and concerned parents. The Committee hopes to build a bridge between US and Chinese education initiatives and showcase different models for collaboration between education and business.
Main Activities
Committee members help draft the Education Chapter in the annual American Business in China White Paper (White Paper).
We organize exclusive roundtables, providing an open peer-to-peer platform for educators and senior corporate leaders, to share and exchange professional opinions on current hot topics in the
education world.
We host events [online/in-person] to provide valuable information to members and get up-todate information and insights on visa application challenges, student travel restriction policies, and entry and exit requirements for both the US and China.
We provide various channels to K12 international schools in Beijing to showcase their school and educational programs, attracting families interested in enrolling for the upcoming school year.
We invite professors and professionals from topranked education institutes, well-known consulting firms, and influential think tanks to share their expertise through in-person events, demo EMBA classes, workshops, and webinars.
