About This Committee

The Cosmetics & Nutrition Committee regularly convenes member companies to discuss business developments, regulatory updates, and industry trends, while supporting regulation communication. Leveraging AmCham China’s platform, the Committee contributes to policy call for-comments, conducts industry research, and develops the Cosmetics Chapter of the annual American Business in China White Paper (White Paper), while strengthening dialogue between members, regulators, and industry associations.

Mission

Promote a more enabling and transparent regulatory environment that supports the sustainable growth of the cosmetics and nutrition industries and benefits members.
Provide a platform to share cross-sector insights and discuss key regulatory and business developments, enhancing members’ understanding of the industry.
Strengthen communication and cooperation between US and China regulators and industry stakeholders.

Main Activities

Government Engagement – Meeting with NMPA, NIFDC, CCFDIE.

Call-for-Comments help members deliver their messages, suggestions and feedback to the central government for new policies and regulations.

Closed-door briefings invite industry experts and officials from both governments to read regulations and discuss industry trends with Committee members.
